Here at Horner Downey, we pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive approach to our client relationships. We know that having someone to talk to about anything from tax questions to general business concerns makes all the difference. That’s why over 75% of our new clients come from existing client recommendations.

At the heart of our company ethos is ensuring that our staff feel engaged and valued. After all, how can we expect them to have positive relationships with clients if they are unhappy in their work? At Horner Downey we not only have an Investors in People standard, but we ensure our staff enjoy coming into the office every day and as a result, deliver their best performance.

We support our staff to undertake industry exams to further their qualifications and career prospects and have a high retention rate, particularly at senior level. We have a break room where the majority of staff take the opportunity to eat their lunch together each day, encouraging knowledge sharing and a sense of community.

Once a month we host a ‘foodie Friday’ where a themed lunch is provided by the company and we all eat together, and every quarter we have a company social night out. These activities, as well as quizzes, competitions and charity fundraising, help to cement the team ethos and create a positive environment in which to work.

We firmly believe that our staff are our greatest asset and as such we are extremely proud of the commitment and enthusiasm which our team brings to all aspects of our work.
